The role will be responsible for the following:
We are recruiting Adjunct Faculty (Psychology) who are available to teach Lifespan Development and/or Introduction to Psychology to dually-enrolled students at area high schools. Under the supervision of the Department Head or Lead Faculty, faculty have as their chief duty the instruction of assigned classes. This duty takes precedence over all others. Beyond their teaching responsibilities, other duties may be assigned by their supervisors. They are also obligated to abide by and support college policies as set forth in the College Catalog, Adjunct Faculty Handbook, and Employment Agreement. Faculty must be committed to the community college philosophy as well as the goals and objectives of Chattanooga State Community College. Adjunct faculty will be responsible for the following: - Conduct classes using appropriate instructional practices - Maintain records of attendance Assign midterm grades, final grades, and early alerts - Evaluate student performance on quizzes, and exams Complete mandatory training as needed.
Position Requirements:
Masters degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning. A minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in Psychology.
