Job Description

Job Title: Associate Planner

Position Type: Full-Time, In-Office

Job Summary: We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Associate Planner to join our team. In this role, you will support the Inventory Planner in various aspects of inventory forecasting, ladder planning, regulatory compliance, and other critical areas. You will assist with testing compliance and managing the factory matrix, contributing to streamlined processes, and ensuring inventory and distribution plans are aligned with company goals. Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Planning and Forecasting Support:

  • Assist in creating and maintaining ladder plans for inventory.
  • Help analyze trends and seasonality to adjust forecasts, manufacturer MOQs, receipts, and inventory levels as needed.
  • Monitor and actualize weekly sales, inventory, and receipt ladder plans, comparing performance to projections and historical data.
  • Assist in managing inactive inventory by collaborating with the Product Manager to ensure appropriate actions (e.g., returns or markdowns) are taken.
  • Prepare weekly inventory and sales reports, offering analysis and insights into performance.

Regulatory and Compliance Support:

  • Assist in ensuring compliance with corporate initiatives and local, state, federal, and international laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Inventory Planner to test and maintain compliance across the supply chain.
  • Support documentation and paperwork processes related to importation, storage, and distribution.

Operational and Logistical Support:

  • Assist in managing timelines for domestic orders, including ETD and ETA of containers.
  • Work with merchandising, shipping, and logistics teams to track incoming shipments and ensure timely delivery.
  • Help in managing replenishment orders, supporting warehouse space allocation requirements, and coordinating with the warehouse manager and logistics teams.
  • Monitor and analyze retailer data (e.g., 10/10 data) to inform projections and decision-making.

Process Improvement:

  • Collaborate with teams to improve and streamline existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and systems.
  • Identify and suggest improvements in inventory management and cost control processes.

Miscellaneous:

  • Assist the Inventory Planner with ad hoc tasks and special projects as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of inventory, costs, and transactions.
  • Contribute positively to the team by maintaining a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.

Qualifications:

  • Ideally holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Requires 1-2 years of experience in inventory planning, logistics, or a related field.
  • Requires knowledge of inventory management practices, including forecasting, ladder planning, and sales analysis.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance processes in the supply chain, including import and export regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with inventory management software a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
