Job Description

We are currently looking to fill a full-time position in our BIM/VDC department. The BIM Manager for ACI Mechanical will oversee all functions of the BIM Team. This includes scheduling manpower, assigning detailing duties, and serving as QA/QC for all BIM documents.

Job Responsibilities

The BIM Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization wide implementation of BIM and related technologies. Setup of drawings, report creation, and knowledge of the roles of Spatial Coordination, Content Modeler, and Fabrication Support are critical. BIM Manager Key Roles and Responsibilities include:

• Manage software licenses including overseeing the installation of new software versions.
• Manage the implementation of BIM supporting software.
• Research new BIM related software.
• Keep the organization informed about best practices in BIM and BIM software.
• Responsible for organization wide BIM standards, implementation, and enforcement.
• Look for efficiencies and productivity opportunities in the organizations BIM process.
• Provide BIM training internally.
• BIM 360 Management.
• Meet weekly with project management to discuss project schedule and open items.
• Regularly attend jobsites and fabrication facility to meet with project field leadership and assist in installation and review of drawings, fabrication, and documents.
• Help drive ACI’s prefabrication initiative by working with the Prefabrication Manager to identify prefabrication opportunities.
• Attend conferences, seminars, and workshops on behalf of the company with a view to transferring knowledge internally within the organization.

Job Qualifications

As a BIM Manager you will need to be highly organized, detail-oriented, hardworking and have the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously. The Successful candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to communicate effectively with personnel at all organizational levels. Specific qualification includes:

• Proficient in Autodesk Revit, NavisWorks & AutoCAD
• Advanced knowledge of construction process’ and procedures
• Advanced PC skills, specifically Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint)
• BIM knowledge and interest in working with Construction Technology
