Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

Location: Red Bank, NJ

Job Type: 13 weeks   Contract with possible extension

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (No weekends, holidays, on-call, or float)

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and certified Medical Assistant to join our outpatient care team in Red Bank, NJ. This full-time role is ideal for someone passionate about patient care and comfortable working in a fast-paced ambulatory setting. The CMA will support both clinical and administrative functions while working alongside licensed medical professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare exam rooms, treatment rooms, instruments, and supplies
  • Greet and prepare patients for examinations and procedures
  • Take and record vital signs, patient history, and reason for visit
  • Assist providers during exams and minor office procedures
  • Perform EKGs, PFTs, Audiometry, Titmus tests, UDS, BAT, and phlebotomy (as trained and validated)
  • Conduct medication reconciliation and follow up on test results
  • Schedule appointments and procedures using EMR systems
  • Manage front-office responsibilities such as patient intake, billing support, and medical record organization
  • Ensure compliance with infection control and patient privacy standards (HIPAA)
  • Provide patients with health education and post-visit care instructions
  • Monitor supply inventory and assist with ordering and equipment maintenance

  Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED (required)
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program (preferred)
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (required)
  • Active MA certification from one of the following (required):

AAMA, AMT, NHA, NCCT, NAHP, AMCA, or NCMA
