**Computer Network Support Specialist**
Dayton, Ohio We are currently accepting resumes for a full-time Computer Network Support Specialist to join our team supporting the Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement (OSMRE), working remotely from home.
Job Summary: Analyze, test, troubleshoot, and evaluate existing network systems, such as local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems or a segment of a network system. Perform network maintenance to ensure networks operate correctly with minimal interruption or system downtime/degradation.
Responsibilities include the following:
* Perform network device configuration and troubleshooting for local area network (LAN) devices and Wide Area Network (WAN) accelerator devices at geographically dispersed locations across the continental United States
* Coordinate with higher level networking teams to for connectivity and troubleshooting to ensure overall WAN performance
* Install, configure and monitor tested and evaluated software packages to provide performance measurements of the WAN/LAN
* Implement standard configuration for all network devices
* Use remote management software tools to maintain and update configuration, protocol, and system files
* Documents and tracks change to configuration, protocol, and system files.
* Develop and implement configuration management plans for complex LANs and WANs (coordination will be required with headquarters staff, subordinate offices, tribal and state governments, and other national agencies)
* Analyze reliability and utilization reports to identify problem areas and recommend corrective actions to ensure acceptable end-to-end system performance
Qualifications include the following:
* At least 3 years related experience
* US citizenship required
