Job Summary:

The Contracts Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing all contract-related activities within the organization. This includes drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, as well as ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. The Contracts Manager will work closely with project managers, legal teams, and external stakeholders to mitigate risks, resolve disputes, and ensure that all contractual obligations are met. This role requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of contract law and industry practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including construction, vendor, supplier, and subcontractor agreements.
  • Ensure that contracts comply with local, state, and federal laws and industry regulations.
  • Monitor contract performance and compliance throughout the project lifecycle, working closely with project teams to meet contractual obligations.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with contracts, proactively resolving any issues to avoid delays and financial penalties.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of all contracts, amendments, and related documentation.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for contract-related inquiries and issues, including clarifications, modifications, and disputes.
  • Collaborate with project managers, legal counsel, procurement teams, and other stakeholders to align contract terms with project goals and organizational standards.
  • Review financial terms and ensure that contract terms are adhered to, such as deadlines, payments, and deliverables.
  • Manage claims, variations, and extensions of time in accordance with contract terms.
  • Conduct training sessions on contract management best practices for relevant teams and stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain standardized contract templates and procedures to improve efficiency and consistency in contract management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, law, construction management, or a related field.
  • Valid Full G License 
  • 3+ years of experience in contract management, preferably within construction, engineering, or a similar industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of contract law, compliance requirements, and industry regulations.
  • Proven experience with contract negotiation, risk management, and dispute resolution.
  • Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex contracts.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple contracts simultaneously.
