Job Details
Summary/Objective
The Controller will plan and direct the accounting operations of the company.
Essential Functions
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Oversees the operations of the Accounting Department, which include accounts payable, and accounts receivable. (Currently 8 employees)
Oversees training programs and identifies training needs within department.
Manage the Month-end close process.
Bank Reporting – borrowing base, covenants, etc.
Board Reporting – consolidating financials.
Divisional Reporting – Division P&L’s
Manage the annual financial statement audit.
Works with external auditors and provides needed information for the annual audit.
Federal and state reporting compliance.
Maintain and improve upon existing policies and procedures.
Financial modeling – cash forecasting, ROI analysis, budgeting/forecasting.
Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent management and supervisory skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Proficient in accounting and tax preparation software.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Business Administration required.
Ten years or more of related experience required.
ERP Implementation experience, preferred.
Public accounting experience, preferred.
Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred.
