Your day to day as a Junior Security Analyst

Are you a proactive individual passionate about cybersecurity? VillageCare is looking for a detail-oriented Full Time Junior Security Analyst to join our IT team. This role involves monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security incidents and threats, collaborating with IT teams and service providers, and working closely with the Chief Information Security Officer.

What We're Looking For In a Junior Security Analyst

To excel as a Full Time Junior Security Analyst at VillageCare, candidates must possess a minimum of 1 year of experience in an information security role or 2 years of experience in an IT operations role, and holding one of the following certifications: CompTIA Security+ or CompTIA Network+. A deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, identity access management, and technologies like MS Active Directory is crucial. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are key, along with the capacity to thrive in a dynamic environment and manage priorities effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for collaborating with different teams and conveying technical information clearly.

Candidates should demonstrate a willingness to learn, adapt to new tools, and possess general knowledge of cloud security, email and web gateways, and endpoint detection systems. Familiarity with tools like Okta, CrowdStrike, Zscaler, and Mimecast would be advantageous.
