Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Loan Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating, authorizing, and recommending approval of loan applications. You will work closely with clients to understand their financial needs, provide expert advice, and guide them through the mortgage loan process. Your goal is to help clients secure financing for their home purchases while ensuring compliance with all regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Consultation: Meet with clients to assess their financial needs, explain loan products, and guide them through the mortgage application process.
- Loan Origination: Collect and analyze clients’ financial information, including credit reports, income statements, and tax returns, to determine loan eligibility.
- Documentation: Ensure accurate and complete loan application files, including all necessary documentation and forms.
- Compliance: Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and company policies to ensure all loan processes are compliant.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, real estate agents, and other stakeholders to promote business growth.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain a thorough understanding of various mortgage products and services offered by the company.
- Problem Solving: Address and resolve any issues that may arise during the loan approval process.

Compensation Components:
- Branch Business:
- Competitive bps on closed loan volume.
- Self-Sourced Business:
- Attractive bps incentives for self-sourced loans.
- Brokered Closings:
- Percentage of YSP paid to the company.
- Company Generated Leads:
- Lucrative bps for leads provided by the company, including internet leads, portfolio customers, and insurance agency customers.
- Transition Bonus:
- Generous transition bonuses based on previous closed production, with a net commission structure ensuring earnings above the monthly guarantee.
Bonus Opportunity:
- Quarterly Bonus:
- Bonuses for branches achieving significant closed market share.
- Presidents Club:
- Special recognition and additional incentives for top performers with substantial closed loan volume and/or a high number of closed first mortgages annually.
There is also an alternative compensation plan option that permits the Loan Officer to take a reduced comp for more aggressive pricing. The Sales SVPs can provide more details during interviews.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in mortgage lending or related financial services.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of mortgage loan processes and regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in financial analysis and credit evaluation.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in mortgage software and Microsoft Office Suite.
