Memorial Rehabilitation Institute provides highly specialized care ranging from complex multiple trauma, stroke and brain injury to physical and speech therapy. Inpatient care is offered at Memorial Regional Hospital South, with outpatient care available in five different locations. We also have a home health team and resources for long-term care at Memorial Manor, while also offering therapy for pediatric developmental diagnosis through Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital.

Summary:

Designs and implements music therapy programs and services for patients on an individual and /or group format.

Responsibilities:

Performs interventions utilizing music therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the age, condition, and needs of the patient or group served. Documents patient information, therapy provided, feedback, and results.Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition and needs.Serves as a resource to the organization regarding music therapy. May supervise music therapists, students, and interns.Designs, coordinates and provides music therapy services and programs for a variety of patient and community populations.
