About the Role
We’re looking for a part-time Onsite Community Manager who naturally connects with people, loves fostering creative environments and community, and who is themselves a creative, community organizer, or entrepreneur.
This is not a traditional on-site manager role. With a mix of long-term yearly+), medium-term (monhtly), and short-term (nightly) residents/guests, your focus is on welcoming visiting guests, establishing lasting connections with residents, building community, hosting experiences, and ensuring The Arts remains a vibrant, welcoming space for creatives, artists, change-agents, and early-stage entrepreneurs.
Approximately 10–15 hours per week, this role is ideal for someone who is themselves a creative, artist, or early-stage entrepreneur — someone who knows how important it is to live, work, and create in community.Responsibilities
Be the face and live-in onsite at The Arts - hotel and residences
Organize and host mixers, pop-ups, workshops, and creative community events
Build connections between residents, guests, and the larger creative community
Support flexible leasing programs (subleasing assistance, basic coordination)
Liaise with vendors and local partners for programming and events
Collect and relay community feedback to ownership
Document and post capturing events, storytelling, social highlights
About You
You’re a natural connector — people feel at ease around you
You’re a creative spirit — an artist, entrepreneur, or someone energized by creative environments
You love bringing people together through events and organic connections
You’re organized, proactive, and great at managing your own schedule
You’re comfortable with tech tools (smart locks, messaging apps, online coordination)
You have a background or strong interest in hospitality, events, creative spaces, or community building
Bonus Points If:
You have experience managing community spaces (co-living, co-working, boutique hospitality, etc.)
You have event planning or grassroots marketing experience
You’re active in the local arts, music, entrepreneurial, or tech scenes
Compensation
66% reduced rent as outlined by LA Housing
Hourly pay for hours worked above and beyond the reduced rent allowance
Free access to events and programming at our other venues
