Volt Workforce Solutions has immediate openings for Sheet Metal Fabricators for our client company located in Colorado Springs. This dynamic organization offers a friendly work environment and opportunities for growth.
As a Sheet Metal Fabricator you will:
- Reads Job Specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements
- Sets stops or guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule, or template
- Positions work piece against stops or align layout marks with die or blade
- Observe machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunction
- Measures workpiece dimensions to determine the accuracy of machine operation
- Removes burrs, sharp edges
- Performs minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines, dies, or workpieces
This is a full time opportunity. Temp to hire. Day shift M-F
The idea candidate will have:
- One to two years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- Regularly performs tasks that will require heavy lifting, carrying and moving materials weighing 50 – 100 lbs. or more off the ground, up and overhead
- Hand fabrication and layout skills are required
Pay Rate: $17.00 - $20.00
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
